Each year the iconic Toronto Christmas Market attracts over 600,000 people to the historic Distillery District in downtown Toronto. This year is the 7th anniversary for this popular market which is running from Friday, November 18th through to Thursday, December 22nd.

This nostalgic holiday event is positioned amongst the beautiful cobblestone streets and brick facades from Toronto’s past. Admission is free of charge on weekdays, while there is a $6 dollar fee on weekends beginning Fridays at 5PM. The Toronto Christmas Market offers something for everyone, from great eats, shopping, and holiday activities for all ages. If you are looking for something to satisfy your thirst, there are plenty of options such as the Holiday Spirits Square, Mill Street Beer Garden, Moosehead Lounge, and Wines of the World Holiday Lounge.

of the market, the tree is often the backdrop to special performances by children’s choirs, carolers, jazz, and gospel groups. Other must see exhibits include, The Heart of Christmas, the forest of pink Christmas trees, and the life-sized gingerbread house where you will find a wide variety of German sweets for purchase.

There are many huts located all throughout the market where local vendors sell a huge variety of Christmas goods, ranging from Christmas ornaments to Canadian-made fleece clothing.
